First victory of the Slovak curling players in the World Cup

The Slovak representatives reported the historically first victory at the World Curling Cup. 1. CC Bratislava with the captain Pavol Kocian and three brothers from Poprad - Pavol, František and Tomáš Pitoňák beat Airport Bratislava 4:3 at the Prague Grand Prix. This team lost in the opening duel with the Czech champions Brno 2:6 and they also lost in the match with Zbraslav (5:6 overtime). 1. CC lost in the final match with the Norwegian team Oppdal coached by the Olympic champion Pal Trulsen (2:7). Players of 2-time Slovak champion took the 13th place out of 20 teams.
